Running water sound?

I have a 95 f150 short box 4x4. When I start the truck after is has sat for a few hours I can hear a sound, like running water from the front passanger side. I am probably the furthest from a mechanic but does this sound like the heater core??

Yes It does sound like a heater core. You may want to check coolant levels or purge some air. May have a possible blockage in the core. I have seen some trucks that just did that and you had to ignore it.

yeah i agree my friends 89 did the same thing and it was the heater core but it just seemed to go away

Mine did the same, I replaced the heater core and it quit, and its super easy to change. The whole proccess took no longer then 30 min.

my wifes 1999 grand cherokee did the same thing. the sound is definately coming from the heater core. doccamel hit it right on the head. you add coolant and/or purge the air from the coolant system and the noise will go away. on the jeep, there was just air in the system and i only dribbled in enough coolant to replace the air i purged. its been fine ever since.

Thank You for the confirmation and suggestions. I'll try to purge the system and if that doesn't work i'll try to replace. Thanks again
