Stuck tailgate
The thread title says it all. I just got this truck and when I tried to open the tailgate- it doesn't. The lift handle moves, but nothing happens. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before and what the solution was. The truck sat for a few months.

I had a similar problem. You should find three bolts on the inside of the tailgate behind the tailgate handle. Take those bolts out and you should be able to remove the handle mechanism after you unfasten the two rods that clip onto the handle mechanism and run over to the tailgate latches. My tailgate latch mechanism was rusted/corroded and was fixed by just cleaning and oiling. After reconnecting the rods and bolting the handle back in place, it worked as good as new.
