Towing With 93' Explorer

Hey guys, I am normaly on the Ranger Page, but have a question about a friends ride. My friend has a 93' Eddie Bower Edition 4x Explorer with a 4.0/Auto. What is the maximum tow rating for this SUV? Thanks in advance for the info -

Should be in the owners manual or on the door tag

well the owners manual gives some kind of formula, it wasn't really clear unless I missed somethign. I just want to know how heavy of a trailer, without trailer brakes can it tow?

Whether the trailer has its own braking system doesn't have anything to do with your towing capacity.... as for how much you can pull... I wouldn't tow anything heavier then 3500 lbs. Any more then that and you will have problems maintaining highyway speeds and run the risk of eating the trans.
