Well, I finally did it. I ordered my new F-350 crew cab King Ranch. I'm actually pretty excited...of all the vehicles I've purchased this is the first one I've ordered from the factory. Just to be vain, the particulars:
F-350 crew cab SRW King Ranch, chesnut brown/beige
6.0L Powerstroke diesel w/ 5-sp auto
Moon roof
Power adjustable pedals
Power sliding rear window
3.73 limited-slip rear end
Idle control kit
Roof clearance lights
FX4 off-road package
Dual alternators
15K hitch
Electric shift transfer case
MSRP was ~$50,600. X-Plan was $44,300. My price (out the door) will be $44,600 (add taxes, subtract rebates and bribes, etc...)
Ended up going through American Ford in Bloomington, MN. John Zroker, my salesperson, was very easy to deal with. I'm sure a lot of it was the X-plan being a basic, no-haggle kind of thing, but he's still a good guy.
And no, there is no point to this post other than to say "Hey...I'm getting a new truck. Isn't that neat?"

Thanks. I wish you could mail us some of that rain. We need it badly up here. We're still running about a 6" rainfall deficit from last year, which was just a parched mess.
Congrats. My F250 just came in. Now if it will only stop raining....I found the animals in pairs getting into the bed.......
Lions and tigers and bears...? OH MY!! (Sorry, couldn't resist )
Congrats on the new truck, OPCENTER. Mine should be in shortly - hopefully next week. You can be sure I'll be posting when it gets here just to say 'Hey isn't that neat?'
