I need Gear HELP!

Alright i have a 4.6l engine i just put on a 7.5" lift with 35" tires, its a 2wd. My gas went to **** about 11mpg on the highway. That could be because of the o2 sensor too. But i want to go to 4.10's or 4.56's. What would be better to go to and would i get higher mpg than i am getting now. I was reading and some people say that the 4.56's were getting them more mpg than they had before with their stock 3.55 or 3.73. Is this possible?

Yes, because when you put larger tires on, you lower the gear ratio( not physically) the more diameter and surface those gears have to turn makes it like having 2.75's, any how having 4.56's will bring it back like stock, it will run RPM's, and accelerate like it still had 3.73's in it feul milage will come back because the motor dosent have too work as hard too move the truck.
Of course there are more factors than this and I will probabley get flamed for my explaination.

4.56 is a good gear to use with 35" tires. You could get away with 4.10's, but as long as you're spending the money to change gears, you may as well go with the 4.56's. 4.56 will give you more power for climbing/offroading and towing and still give descent mileage under most driving conditions. 4.10 won't give as much power but will give better mileage when cruising fast down the freeway. Your mileage around town may be better with the 4.56's because of all the stopping and accelerating.
