Are your RCA jacks near the antenna wire? i am having the same problem but i dont have the Avionixx. My rear speakers are hooked up to my radio and i have my amps hooked up to the ignition so if I turn the ignition off the amps turn off but the radio stays on (still on the delay) I did this on purpose so wifey wouldn't accidently kill the battery.
Now with the amps off my reception is perfect. I've been to lazy to pull the radio out and start trouble shooting but I have a feeling it's feedback from the rca's when the amp is on. I have my rca's going thru the same side the antenna wire is. i may have to run them down the middle... rrrrrrrrrrrr
I had my amps in when i had my stock radio using a l.o.c. and my reception was fine. I know my radio doesn't have a problem because I used it in my Escape before up grading to the Explorer. It was only after I put my pioneer in the explorer and ran the rca's to the radio, that i have the problem. I'm sure the amp is cause the interference and it's my guess the rca's are transmitting the problem.
