hey im just wondering the specs of the 400,
in my bronco it runs off propane, has dual Flowmaster exhaust with headers, high flow air filter, brand new edelbrock heads.
just wondering how much approximate hp i should have ... any guesstimate would be greatly appreciated
you will have to give more information than that.
stuff like what have you done to the engine? what kind of compression are you at? what year is the motor? what kind of cam? stuff like that. it could be really low or high, just depends on what you have done to the motor.
thanks i thought i could i just wanted to make sure because i dont have electronic ignition on the 69 i'm gonna try to wire in a harness off an ltd for the electronic ign.can i make this work?
I got it working ! It turned out to be pretty easy. only problem now is the alternator must be bad no charging. The exaust manifold is tight on one side. I had to make motor mounts for it to bolt up right. The truck originaly came with a 302 I put in a 390 in place of that but had a hard time with transmissions holding up behind it.I'm just a sucker for a FORD .I had a 400 in an old ltd once it ran pretty good for me so I got this one from a buddy of mine his wife made him get rid of it because they were moving she did'nt want the junk around.I took it.It fired right up on the first try.
