you will have to give more information than that.
stuff like what have you done to the engine? what kind of compression are you at? what year is the motor? what kind of cam? stuff like that. it could be really low or high, just depends on what you have done to the motor.

We'll be waiting on pins & needles to find out how you got the only set of Edelbrock heads in the world for a 351M/400.

The 400 from the factory registered a whopping 160 HP.

I'm thinking you mean an Edelbrock Intake manifold, unless someone in your family owns edelbrock

A distributor from a 351M or 351C will work in a 400, but the gear has to be replaced to use a 351W distributor in a 400.

It might be easier to use a breakerless conversion kit like Pertronix for your stock distributor.

I got it working ! It turned out to be pretty easy. only problem now is the alternator must be bad no charging. The exaust manifold is tight on one side. I had to make motor mounts for it to bolt up right. The truck originaly came with a 302 I put in a 390 in place of that but had a hard time with transmissions holding up behind it.I'm just a sucker for a FORD .I had a 400 in an old ltd once it ran pretty good for me so I got this one from a buddy of mine his wife made him get rid of it because they were moving she did'nt want the junk around.I took it.It fired right up on the first try.
