i have been offered a job lot of three 1959 and one 1960 f100's.
guy wants a grand and the wife says it will cost me a marriage, haha.
i already have one of each and dont need the parts but what do you more experienced guys believe this package is woth in parts alone. is it worth starting my own breakers yard ??
thanks for any input. i am going to view the first two trucks tommorow and the other two next weekend.
again thanks
Hey Gog, too hard to say without seeing them. Do you have plenty of room? Do you have any zoning laws that will affect you by having these extra trucks just sitting around? You say you don't need the parts and you already have one of each, so it sounds like there is not a lot of need. If they are in reasonable shape, you may be able to sell them here in the classified section! Good luck, John
If they are rustfree(nevada truck I assume) and all complete. Shortbeds and big back window's help as well. You may be surprised in a year or two where these trucks will be going. I'd go for as thats roughly $330 per truck.-4speed
Man Scrape, you're itchin' for one of them BBW's! So am I...and the funny part is I've got one less than 2 mi. from my house, but I'm too lazy to go find out about it!
i went to see the two today and there were three, two 59's and a 58 by the hoods but , there was only one truck if you put em all together. kinda sad !!!
a 59 with a 360 in it no rear axels, a 58 no drive line at all fenders missing, 59 3/4 ton with a 223 no head, 58 (they said) step bed no truck, no big windows but some trim, i might talk to this guy about some parts, but he just wants them off his land so if he can get them gone i think they will go to the crusher, he said the last truck is a driver but i am not shure that he even knows what a driver is. and yes it is good to live in the southwest guys no rain no rust
thanks - g
sixoh, over the years i have been offered many things and told about even more, and even though i turn 40 this year, one lesson i have learnt over and over ( and over!)is than when u are offered or told about something, take the time to look first chance u get, other wise sure as hell , in a years or two or when ever u do remember to look, someone will have just bought it the day before, and it will be something u have wanted or could have used( etc etc ) , so now i always follow up leads straight away and i will buy something even if i don't need it at the time if its a good buy ( good buys are'nt around when u really need that part, have u noticed ? )a mate of mine has just bought 2400 acres so storage isn't an issue, besides i still have not seen a big back window 57 - 60 in aus yet.

Hey GOG are you going to the rockabilly hot rod show at the Gold coast on the 10th? If you do look for me I will be the guy in the Hawaiian shirt with the Ohio tan ( NONE LOL)
