New V-10
After a lot of research and many posts from this and other forums, I bit the bullet and bought the F-550 w/V10. 4x4 ,Auto. One thing I noticed , and cant really say why I hadnt paid any attention to it until now, There is no "red line" on the tach? All other vehicles I have owned have had one, why not on these? Still have my PSD 250, so I will be able to compare rather easily, as both will/have pulled same things.

He is right.....there is a rev limiter built in to the ignition system.....it will start retarding the ingition around 5,000 to 5200 rpm.....Not on my V10 in my own truck....but the V10 in my work truck I have heard it happen.....It is like taking coil wires off at wide open throttle......sounds disgusting.
