Does anyone know here i could get a cab corner
I just bought a 86 150 with nothing wrong with it except for nicks in the paint and a little bubling over the wheel wells. There happens to be some rust on the lower drivers side part of the cab and i would almost wrather cut and weld than to try and shape with bondo and the like. Its painted brown on brown and i dont know where to get the factory matched paint from either. Any help would be appreciated.
And heres a question... why would a truck made in 86 with absolutely no power accesories be an XL? The radio is even AM only. What is honestly the reason they would call it that.

XL refers to trim level -ie body moldings,headliner,radio trim.In 86 they did away with the custom and just put 4x2 or4x4 under the fender nameplate. LMC truck,Jc whitny and Certifit are examples on where to go for parts.I personally prefer Certifit as price wise they have been the cheapest but with good quality,besides they are in my town.When you look at the wheelwells on the bed , look inside the wheel well as the steel inner fender is usally the culprit that causes wheel well rot.Good luck and welcome

shes a clean truck... now thats where its hard because i live right in the heart of gm country and we never think that the designations on the car meant body style we thought it meant eXtra Luxury... and do you think i could be a 2001 ford 150 4x4 with the 4.6 with mine having the straight 6... i could play with the timing if i needed
