I don't know how common this is, but I know it's happened to my buddy and me.
I had a ricer on my tail as I was getting onto the interstate, and I just had to let him have it. Besides, I just installed my Edge on sat. it was now tues. and i had about 500 miles on it. so i put it in the 100hp setting, and tromped it. first gear, doing fine, second she's all right, third gear faster, 4th gear smacked the red line the tow/haul light starts flashing and the truck is stuck in 3rd and won't shift up. so i get off at the next exit luckily only 1/2 mile up the road and still not shifting. so i let it sit that day when i went to work, i came home and the truck started right up, the light was no longer on, and it seemed to work fine. as i said my buddy had a similar circumstance. just curious if this is something the Edge does to stop you from doing something stupid, or is something not right?
I changed the words to read Edge, hope it helps

Curious that you "put it in 100HP mode"
If you're talking about the predator programmer for the 6.0...
what did you do, ask the ricer to wait while you pulled off the side of the road and re programmed your truck for two minutes and
THEN you raced and had a problem with your tranny ?????
Gosh, I've NEVER had a problem with my tranny and the predator...
in fact according to ALL boards I've been reading it is the only one that hasn't had owners complaining about the 2 to 3 shift
my mistake, i was reading about the predator for about an hour before making my post and accidentally typed it. i have the Edge w/ attitude setup. it's been a long day i guess. sorry for the confusion. but seriously, has anyone else seen this??
For all on this post I went in and changed the original words to read form Predator to Edge, read careful this mans problems, equate them to the Edge product
what happens is the transmission line pressure is raised to a high level and the trans go into a default mode i'm running the edge in mine happen to me before,
I had this happen to me when I was running my Diablo predator in the 100 HP setting. It was raining there was a gap in traffic so I honked on it. The truck just spunn thru first and second I let up to get some traction, and bang it slams into third. The Rpm's dropped and the truck wouldn't hardley go. At the next light it wouldnt shift down I could barely make the truck move. pulled over and manually ran it through the gears, and nothing happened. I shut the engine off waited about 30 seconds then restarted it and all was fine. In defense of the predator I have had this happen 2 times before I ever owned the predator. Seems like if you let the tire spin excessively the tranny goes crazy. Has anyone had thier truck roll down hill in park with keys removed, or slam into 1st gear when comming to a stop? Hope this helps and any advice would be appreciated, because ford says nothings wrong. Jerry

Yea had it do this for about a day then cured itself. It slill does it every now and then. The other day It would not go into foreward or reverse after moving shift lever from park I finally revved it in reverse, when it engaged it slammed me and the wife on the dash. I've had this happen a few times. Going nutty Jerry.
