Bronco idling funny
I drive an '87 Bronco with a '95 300 inline. My problem is that it sometimes idles wierd, like, it will run fine but when you stop it will hesitate, sortof sputter a little and stuff then die. It doesn't do this all the time though but when it does its very annoying, I actually coasted into the yard today, any ideas? I have none. Could fuel have to do anything with it? I usually run 89 but because of fuel prices I now run 87.

The easiest way to bump up the idle is to find the spring/cable mechanism from the accelerator on the throttle body and move up the screw on the bottom. This stops the thing from closing so far, and keeps the rpm's higher.

the IAC may be bad. If it's not electrically sound the solenoid on it will not extend the rod, moving the ball valve to increase the idle.
Clean the IAC first and retest. If no change then.............
Check resistance values across the leads. If out of spec, then replace.
