What am I looking at
in terms of repair and maintenance if I purchase a 1997 F250 with 210k miles for $6k in fair to good shape. Y'all think it's worth the money and whatever normal repairs that would be needed. No maintenance records exist. Taking the seller's word only. Should I pass and wait for another. I will appreciate your advice and opinions. TIA.

If price of scrape metal keeps going up its probally worth it lol. I would have a compression test done on it and look at the turbo see if it is in good shape, probally could part it out and it would be worth more than the 6,000 he is asking for too. Then again you could have more luck sitting at a Texas hold'em table too. Power stokes aren't cheap too work on either. If it was me buying something used i would look at the dodges with the cummings.
