Portable Hoist

I'm looking for a mini crane/hoist that attachs to the female end of hitch. I've seen it on tv, forgot to get the no. and maker.

Any of you folks have any knowledge of this contraption.

its to assist one person w/engines blocks, dryers, etc....

Here is one, but its pretty expensive.

My dad has one thats smaller on an S10, but its installed in the bed. It works OK on smaller items, just remember that the suspension is going to take up alot of the force and won't really work on heavy items until the suspension bottoms out or you block up the rear with a jack and 2X4's.

If you are going to spend that kind of money, there is a better one by (I *think*) Western Mule. It is a bumper replacement and the crane sits off to the side.

T 2002, thanks great price for $ 59 compared to the first intro, close to a thousand.

I'll probably buy the latter one and jerry rig it into the hitch. better yet I'll bribe Bruno next door neighbor w/a fifth of JD

Is a breakdown hoist too inconvienient for your purposes? I paid under 100 bucks for a breakdown cherry picker from a local auto parts store on sale. It is an import, but Ive used it many times with out problems. Just take apart and throw it in the bed next to your engine or whatever you are hauling. This gives you alot of different uses for the one piece of equipment.
