Comperssion

yo i took my compression test on my 352 a few weeks ago and here were the results.
1-95
2-100
3-100
4-93
5-90
6-95
7-93
8-95
is that any good? its supposedly got 53 thousand on it and i just had my heads rebuilt.
i unfortanely didnt take a comperssion test before i had my heads done.
i added oil to every cylinder like the book said and they went up by 5-10 psi for every cylinder which means im leaking comperssion though the rings i guess. what should the compersion be on a 66 352?

Replacing heads means retorquing them, which often distorts the cylinders and requires another ring break in cycle.

The numbers are low across the board. Drive it 5000 miles and check it again. The block is too young for the rings to be worn out.

You'll be OK as as they stay as they are...within 10% from the highest cylinder to the lowest and they are..But Scroob said you do need to retorque the heads- Russ
