10k Mod (actually 6.6k)
Hey everyone I tried the 10k mod on my truck a couple weeks back by using three 3.3k resistors wired in series- worked great and didn't change the idle that much, especially while in drive. Then I read that lower values give more power so I took one resistor out yesterday, effectively leaving me with a 6.6k mod. Now the idle is MUCH rougher, and it seems to have a bit more power also. There is one glitch though- after standing on the throttle a couple of times my SES light came on. Could this be caused by the extra fuel being delivered? My service manual says that the SES light primarily comes on to alert you of a problem in the emission or fuel systems. What do you guys think?

If you do a code check, you may find ones relating to the ICP sensor or MAP. It will set a code when the computer sees a reading out of the ordinary. Might guess you will find a code relating to the injector oil pressure "not controllable" or "boost pressure- too high". Check you DTC's to determine the cause of the SES light and then you can determine the remedy.
