I recently purchased a 1985 Ranger with a 2.8liter,v6,automatic,4x4 engine.Where can I obtain specs on this engine. While facing the vehicle and to the right of the carb.,there is a tubular device that is electronic.when this is plugged in my truck engine races when in park. What is this and how can I fix it?
Thank you
I had the same set up on my Bronco II. My throttle would stick on occasion. Are you sure this isn't happening to you? Does this condition exist when the truck is warm too?
Have you got a manual for it, like a Haynes or something? These have some troubleshooting areas that might be helpful.
