I'm looking at adding Fog/Driving Lights to my Super Duty. I've read the earlet post "<a href="https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/superduty/20.html">https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/superduty/20.html</a>" talking about the Ford kit, and the K-Mart specials.
I'm looking for anyone who has installed them in place of the Tow Hooks.
I bought a Hella 530 Kit, and I think I can mount them. (Wont know untill I get a metric socket kit to remove the tow hooks) by drilling a hole just above the Tow Hook opening in the Bumber mounting bracket.
I've since found that Hella makes a set of called "300" that has a rear mounting system. They are slightly smaller, but the rear mounting would make the installation easer.
Any one here mounted any lights in the Tow Hook area? I'd love to hear how, or even see the images.
They were just talking about the fog lights over at <a href="http://www.ford-diesel.com">http://www.ford-diesel.com</a> You might what to post a question over there.
I have a SD250 4x4 I purcheced a set of fog lights called HOT LIGHTS if you revesre the mounting bracket [have to remove a bolt and flip it over] they will fit very nice right next to the tow hooks,if you run your fingers behind were the tow hooksare you will feel a little indentation,I drilled a hole and used two selftapping screws looks great[the hot lights were the round ones.
Hope this helps
It's in the PSD 99-up forum on the third page and is titles "Ford foglights worthless?" I know there has also been more posts about them around 2-3 weeks ago but, you'll have to do a search to find them.
I founf it (<a href="http://www.ford-diesel.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/003402.html">http://www.ford-diesel.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/003402.html</a>). If someone has the switch part number, I might be able to find the service part numer so we can get it as a seperate part.
Also if anyone has the kit instructions I'd like to see them as well.
