Question

CEL Questions...

I have a 2000 Explorer XLT AWD 5.0 V8, and the check engine light is on. The only thing noticiblely different than before is that at low rpm's under acceleration, there is a shaking - almost a sputtering, until the rpm's get over about 2000. I have taken it to Autozone, and they ran their test and said that "there is a problem somewhere in the #7 cylinder" which they said could be either a) plug wires, b) plugs, or c) a sensor. Any ideas or has anyone else experienced this?

I'd be grabbing a socket wrench to #7 looking for the obvious before posting. No need to read anything more into this before investigating.

well, i've been there, done that; replaced the plugs and no difference...

Sorry, should have said that to start with...
