302 to 351 swap.

a few questions. i have a 90 bronco, auto/OD. and a 1989 f250 351W/5 spd.
i want to put the 351 in the bronco. #1 what auto trans do i have. it is the one with the lump on the bottom of the pan. #2 i assume to reuse the auto trans, i need a computer from a 351/auto. correct? the 351/manual computer will not work. #3 can i reuse the 302 engine harness? it is in much better shape than the 351 harness. any other hints or suggestions would be very helpful.
thanks
Matt

first off, is your auto tranny have a push button for the overdrive. if so that means you have an e4od tranny so you would need an ecu from a 351/e4od. now yes you can use the harness from the 302 I did when i did this very swap last year. make sure you get the correct flexplate, your 302 flexplate will not work. other then that you set
swap away!!

there is no pushbutton for the O/D. so i take it it is an AOD. can i use the 302 computer? i assume not. did a 90 bronco come with a 351/AOD, or 351/E4od? or what computer would i use? would you recommend a junkyard computer? or a reman one from NAPA? do i reuse the sensors from the 302 or 351 or does it matter?
thanks for the help

use everything from the 302 except the ecu. just find one that was used with a 351/manual. also you will need to get a flexplate from a 1980 ford crownvictoria that had the 351/aod combo. this is very important.

the 351/AOD was never offered in a bronco or f150 , thats why you need one from a crown victoria. also buy a new one from autozone or something. the wrecking yards tend to not know jack about the correct flexplate i tried and almost put the wrong one in.
the AOD is not electric so the ecu doesnt control any part of it anyway.
