trailerman; You may want to consider running some SEAFOAM for about 500
miles before your next oil change, you may also want to consider switching
oil brands something that will run a little cleaner, the lifters may be begining
to get a little lazy due to build up in the engine, run the seafoam oil treatment
several times & this may fix your problems; but you will notice a differance
after the first use. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER .TURBO TED

i've started to pulled the heads, but as far as valve train, all the lifters are new,i also pulled the front cover to checkthe tensioners, replaced both tensioner and chains and guides while in there, problem in the beginning was it would do it once in awile, now it does it about every time you drive it,i found that it is not always the same lifter but always on right side.i'm just thinking it has to be some kind of blockage in the oil passage .the cam and rockers also look good.maybe i'll find it in the head or passage,if not at 182,000 and my wife loves her truck,i know a new engine will fix it

just wanted to share what i found when i pulled the head.under the cap that holds the cam down(one with three bolts),there is a oil flow restrictor in the head,it has two little tiny holes for the oil to pass through, they were almost completely plugged with what looked almost like the inside of an oil filter ,just guessing there,it's the only thing i could think of getting in the engine, going to replace the restrictor and put it back together ,i'll let everyone know how it does

Good luck, maybe someone has used a cheap filter that came apart and got into the oiling system. That's why I use nothing but Motorcraft oil and filters.
