Chip vs Programmer

I am looking into getting a liitle more power out of my '02 6.8L. I've been looking at the Diablo Sport Chip and the Superchips Micro tuner and I'm uncertain as to which one is the wiser choice. Any thoughts??? will either one of these make a noticible difference?

What are you looking for just more power.. They will both give more but the chip will give the most. I have the tunner and I like it, but still say chip it. Unless you just like to play with a shift points and some other light stuff.

I use the programmer and am happy with it. I like being able to ajust my shift points.

Adjusting shift points isn't that critical, I'm looking for the most power I can possibly get, particularly torque for towing!

What about for a manual transmission, is it worth it? I just need more power for driving around town. I was looking at a edge ez ( www.edgeproducts.com ) it's not a chip but its the same idea, plus you can still use a chip on top of it.
