When I first joined FTE you couldn't have payed me to take the job, However this site and the people have proved to be awesome. I would love to be President... However if Mark was to change his mind I would vote for him over meÉ

Instead of this nominating, some people may not want the 'job'. Why not whomever is interested in the position just post their name and a brief synopsis detailing why they want it and what they bring to the table in a temporary sticky. Then post a poll after a week or so, so we can all vote. A quickie campaign and a vote. We can have this business wrapped up in a weeks time. My 2 pennies.

I'd be interested but would like to understand some more about these groups. The way I read it you can be members of more than one group, and is there more than one group in a chapter or do groups crossover chapters? Is there any set guidelines yet? Also if I read right we still keep the moderator right? I like the idea but could use a little more information on the how's and where's and what's the groups are.

Thanks for your vote of confidence Steve!!! Since I will not nominate myself, there is plenty of good leaders here that are capable to fill this position. I too think that a post started to do a nomination process then an election post would be made to finalize the voting. I also think that the founding members in Ks. should have the privilege to sit at the leaders seat. I would really like to see them involved too!!!! Yes, I too would be interested.

hang10 has a good concept but feels kinda of tacky nominating yourself. But again we do need to know who would like the job and wants to do it. Either way is fine with me I just think we need to get on this and do something. I do believe we are the ones who kinda asked for this type of system.
Maybe we should post a poll to ask if members want to do a nominating system or a voluntary system where the people who want to run put their name in the running.

Well I think we already know who want's it. Maybe someone would like it that hasn't been nominated. I just think those that want it should speak up and post a little about their ideas etc. I am going to post a subject about it. If your interested in the job, post there. Spring is here and the GTG's will be more frequent. Getting this done sooner than later is to all of our benefit.
