Cool No A/c

Hi !
The next problem is at the start

The solenoid switch at the A/C compressor dont work. At the 2 pins on the compressor there are no voltage when I move the switch between "Norm" and "Max". When I put 12V direct on the compressor, the soleonid switch works. The vacuum lines and cans in the cab works fine and are ok. The Fuse in the cab are also ok.

Did anyone have an wiring diagramm for me or an hint to fix this problem ?!

Thanks, Pierre !

Hey there,

Your refrigerant may be low. If the pressure gets low enough, then there is a low pressure cutout switch that will not allow the compressor to engage. Your wiring may be fine. Throw a manifold gauge set on your A/C and see what you've got. Just be careful if you haven't worked with a/c before.

Hope this helps

Now i build out the A/C console in the cab and measured the 4 cables that are connected at the switch with the vacuum lines. There are 2* 12V (black&white), 1 ground (black orange) and 1 purple that have no allocation. Now I want to know where this cable is connected or what allocation it have.

Thanks, Pierre

Where I can find the cutout switch and what pressure did I need ?

No A/C

Hello,
If the compressor isn't running, and you feel the refrigerant (R12 or R134) is full, your problem may be the pressure sensitive (cycling) switch that is located on the accumulator (low pressure side). This switch cycle the compressor on and off as needed. The switch is relatively inexpensive and can be removed without discharging your system.....it is mounted with a scrader valve (tire type valve). This is just one of many things that can cause a malfunction in the A/C system!
Good Luck...

Hi !
The failure is found: The condenser is damaged, he has a hole. You can really hear it and see it with ultraviolet light. The mechanic cant pump enough gas in the lines that the compressor can run uninterrupted. The next question is now: Can I solder this hole tight ? Or did i need an new condenser ?

Thanks and greets, Pierre
