If you are going to be working on your truck which has a lot of big nuts maybe buy a set of 3/4" drive sockets from Harbor Freight and a breaker bar or adaptor. They are cheap Chinese tools but you just can't break those big sockets. If you have air tools or considering getting them a set of impact sockets would be a good alternative investment. Also a simple set of cheap dial or vernier calipers might be good.

Well, so far I've had the transmission out, been through the motor, had the (complete) rearend out of it twice, and the front diff once, and haven't needed anything I don't already have. My father was in construction for 36 years so our garage/shed is full of handy doodads in case conventional tools don't work. But in this case, I've got complete wrench sets and sockets up to 1 1/4", but then I dont have anything until 1 7/16", and this damn nut is somewhere inbetween there.
