In bumper reverse sensor installation
I bought a set of reverse sensors that are the type that I have to drill out the bumper to install them. Pretty much like the OEM type. They have to be installed in the bumper. I didn't purchase these throgh a Ford dealer. I am told that since it is a metal bumper, I should coat the holes with a zinc compound after drilling. The set does not come with this. Wondering if it is necessary and exactly what is the compound I should look for. Is it a zinc anti-seize paste, or a liquid? What is the purpose? I would assume it is to keep the holes from forming rust. Or does it have something to do with conductivity? Thanks for any info.

Thanks. I didn't mean conductivity in the electrical sence of the word. I meant reflectivity/sensitivity of the sensors. Where did you run your wiring into the cab? Did you go all the way under and up through the engine compartment, or were you able to find a drain hole in the floor pan somewhere?
