Door locks
I have a 2000 F-150 x-cab 4x4 Lariat. The door locks are intermitently working. If you continue to hit the lock or unlock, it seems to run out of power as if the battery was going dead. The drivers side will work every time unless you continue to try to unlock or lock the passenger side. Both sides will lock almost everytime you put the truck in gear (autolock.)Can anybody help out?

If you cycle the locks over and over they WILL overheat and stop working. They should however cycle several times without doing so. But keep cycling them and the circuit gets hot and they stop working until they cool. Its a good way to ruin them if you keep doing it. As long as they consistently work with normal operation they are fine.
