Question for Ken or Others

Installed my Diablo chip in my Ford F150 4.2L. Truck would not start in the performance mode. I installed the required jumpers and the truck fired right up. Just wondering what to expect out of the chip. Never ran the truck hard before. It's 5 yrs. old and just has 25K mi. on it. What will it do? I installed the chip, JBA shorty headers, K&N cold air intake, & a Gibson exhaust to beef up the HP. I plan to tow my car to a couple of shows a year with a 1250# trailer and a 3500# car.

The chip will give approx 10% over stock. I'm not sure if that's what you're asking?

When I start the truck in the performance mode in the morning it cuts out like it's going to stop running for a fraction of a second. It continues to do this until it reaches normal operating temperature. Then it runs fine. Do I need to let it warm up before driving?

Pull the chip and reclean the connector with nail polish remover. Make sure the chip is securely held in place when putting it back in. I recommend duct tape, that square Diablo sticker just isn't very strong (I use duct tape with my vehicles).
