Running to rich!

I have a '85 F-150 with the 300 and a manual, it used to run great and have good power, don't know what happened but it flogs smoke and runs bad now, definatly way to much fuel! I never tuched the fuel screw. You can smell it running rich when it's idling. I know this has been descused many times before but what do I need to do? I am hoping\guessing it's a vacum problem and if it is where do I look or what do I need to do? I am guessing it's a feedback carb? I know it's a 1 barrol. Sorry for the dumb question but thanks for the help!!!

i would turn the a/f screw in and then out 1.5 turns after that there isn't much you can adjust.
