Keyless entry buttons lights
I have a 96 Explorer and we bought it new and I can't ever remember the buttons on the door ever lighting up when you touch the 1st 1. Can anyone out there tell me whether they are supposed to or not? We had several T-Birds before this and all had keyless and they all lit up when touched at night. Also I noticed that none of the switches on the door light up either when the lights are on. Has anyone else experienced this and what was your fix? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

i was wondering the same thing about my 96 explorer. my wifes 93 mark 8 keypad lites up and it sure makes it easier in the dark. i can't imagine why ford would decide to do away with this in 96 or before when they were already using it in 93.
