flywheel

I need a standard flywheel for my 86 351 HO,will a flywheel from a 302 work???

351 windsor, cleveland or modified?????? if it's a windsor, i do not believe that a 302 flywheel will match up...i was told at one point that they are balanced differently or something....don't take my word for it, as i don't remember for certain...just wait for a few more posts...

81-earlier 302 has 28oz imbalance, same as all 351. 82-later 302 has 50oz imbalance. Yes 81-earlier 302 flywheel will fit.

see...what i was told, if i remember correctly, was that the 302 is internally balanced, and the 300/351w is externally balanced, or vicer versa per engine grouping, thus the 302 and 351W took diff. flywheels...but i don't remember exactly what i was told, so don't take my word for fact on this information...could just be somebody yankin my chain...

240/300 is internally balanced.

after 81(or 82, I forget...) all three have a different flywheel, prior, the 351W and 302 use the same 28 oz imbalance, while the 240/300 use a neutrally balanced flywheel.
