If you're looking for a NOS one, there's 3 places that list it. The part number is B9C 16606-C Green sales, 1-800-543-4959, they show one. Antique Auto Supply, 1-817-275-2381. They show 4. NOS only, 1-488-227-2353. They show 1. Call them up and give them the part number I listed and they will give you a price and shipping.
Barry, I have to ask, besides green sales co, does any of these places have websites with inventorys or do you go through a catalog? It would be great to look up parts and order 'em! -4speed
NO, You have to call them. I have access to a dealers listing site that they use to list thier inventory. You have to have Ford part numbers to find who has what. I don't mind looking up the parts and looking on this site for anyone. It keeps my brain in tune to the Ford Parts system. Don't want the old noggin' to get rusty now!!
If you're looking for a used part, I can look at the '59 We've been getting parts from at the salvage yard. The hood was bashed but I think the emblems and letters where decent. I was going to get them for spare parts anyways.
Dan,
I would definitely be interested in the emblems. Depending on the condition of the other letters I might buy the whole set. Each letter I have has one post broken on each.
My neighbor and I just bought a 1975 Ford C900 Boom truck to take down trees between our properties. ( Cost $150 each to buy it).
I looked at the front of the truck and discovered the F O R D letters on the front are the exact same as on our 59 F100. Don't know what year the emblem is the same as.
There are three pictures in My gallery under 1975 C900
Shortyforty,
That's pretty cool. Want to sell them? I have the F,R, & D but each one has a broken post. I would like to have the whole set in good condition. I'd send you the one's I got if you still want the letters on the truck. Just missing the O. Thanks.
I plan to use these newer letters as they are chromed and the 1959 ones are not. I do have an extra set from the junk yard that are in good condition but need painting. The post of the C900 was to let anyone know that it looks like FORD used these letters on their cab-over trucks for quite a few years and that they were also chromed. Also looks like the door handles and locks are the same, inside and ouside.
