Keyless Entry Pad

I was in the dealership and they were advertising the Keyless Entry Pad for vehicles already equipped with the remote keyless entry.

Has anyone put this on their SD? It says no drilling, wiring, long battery life, and does it have to be mounted on the door? Looks like the kit is about $130.

I put one of these on my truck in December. It works just your keyless entry remote and has to be programmed. No wires to run. Just stick it on wherever you want with the two-sided tape provided. The insructions are provided on how to program. Takes about 10 minutes to install.

Thanks for the info. So the pad doesn't have to be mounted on the door?

It works like a charm. Easy to install, just sticks on the exterior.

I see no reason why it would have to be on the door.
