Quick question for you guys. I replaced my drivers side door lock actuator yesterday. During the process while the door was open my door ajar bell started working. Now it has naver worked before thank goodness, now all of a suden it does. I shut the doors and locked it up last night and everything worked fine. But when I got up this morning my dome light was on. I know it wasn't on last night since I had went out to the beast in the night. What would cause it to all of a sudden come on? When I push the little button on the door it still won't go off although the beel stops?
I installed the switch on both sides but it didn't help. The dome light and the rear lightinside stay on all the time. Do I have a short somewhere od could have have done something while replacing the door lock actuator even though the switch isn't in the door???
Several possible problems--do you have the headlight switch turned all the way to the left? Second--the wiring at the bottom of the pillar loses its insulation as water comes through the cracks that form at the top of the pillar and have a tendency to short out. You may consider pulling up the carpet just behind the door and the plastic interior cover for the pillar and checking the wiring out.
