engine weight?
Hi,
I found a good question in a another FTE forum. Someone ask for the engine weight.
What I want to know is....how much does the 6.9 ltr. Diesel weight?
If possible fully equipped with alternator, a/c and so on.
If anybody also knows the weight from a C6 tranny....that would be fine, thank you very much

The shipping weight on my 7.3 turbo with a steel shipping skid and complete exhaust system was 1100 pounds.
The exhaust system was about 40 pounds.
The skid was close to 65 pounds.
The turbo was about 30 pounds till you took off all the componets.
So you are looking at 965 with oil and fuel in the fuel filter.
Add the fan, alternator, vacuum pump, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump and brackets for all the above to 965 and you will be close.
I would put it at real close to 1080 in full dress running condition.
