Here is something everyone that is rebuilding or fixing a motor should know. As me and my dad have discovered while preping a rebuilt 351w(350hp ) to dropped between the fenders of my flareside is that if you want that chrome look without sending the money to get the chrome pieces, take all those unpainted aluminum pieces, like the alternater, manifold, fittings, etc, and polish them up using the wire wheel on a bench grinder. You will not believe the difference this will make. I will get some before and after pictures up in my gallery tommorow. I thought i would share this with everyone, because i know everyone like shiny stuff, and the little bit of extra work is well worth it.
Actually i am going to use the same polish/sealer that you would use for aluminum wheels. But yeah i had the alternater completly apart (i had to change the brushes to), along with everything else. I will have pictures up of everything once we finish installing the motor tomorrow or tuesday.
