power antenna upgrade
got a 91 F250 IDI. i just bought a Harada Semi-Automatic Power Antenna at a yard sale for 5 bucks brand new(17 years old;never been used). so, how do i get under the fender to get at the old, fixed mount antenna and install mine. my power antenna needs 14inches of clearance below the hole in the fender. if this is too hard, i'll take any suggestions on alternate locations.

That's going to be more work than you want, I'm afraid. If the antenna is on the right side of the cowl like mine, get out your screwdriver and take out all the screws that hold the cowl on, pull the wiper blades/arms, and get it up without scratching the paint all to heck. Then you should be able to see if it will fit. 
Only reason I pulled my cowl was I had to, I was changing the wiper motor.
