I am wondering if there is a kit to raise the front axle up making the fender tire clearance the same in front as the back. If there is, what kind is it and have you installed it and what did it cost. Thanks
Note: My front rotors are warped and I am going to have to take the truck back to the dealer
Check out "Jackit.com". I seen an ad in an offroad magazine where they said they had a kit good for about 2 1/2" of lift. I don'r recall if it was an add-a-leaf type kit, or an entire new spring pack.
I am considering what I am going to do with my F350 CC and let me tell you the price goes from pretty inexpensive to very expensive. Unfortunately, it seems that the more inexpensive route is going to screw up the factory ride. I have yet to decide and am still considering the options of which there are many.
I have a 99 250 4x4 v-10 and am looking to do the same thing. What I have found is there is a block lift which simply raises the front spring 2.5" and an add-a-leaf system which does just that. Evidently the add a leaf will make the front end stiff as a board but is the "strongest" format for doing the lift.I guess it depends on how hard you are on your truck...I'm likely to put mine in some nasty places during hunting season so I believe I am going with the latter system.I should have the work done by end of next week.
On your rotors, mine also warped at about 10,000 miles and I took it back to the dealer, they had to replace the entire hub assembly on both sides because the seals leaked oil onto the rotors warping them. It took them 3 days and they said it would not have been covered if it were over 12,000 miles....Whew!
Good luck. Vinny
