Since I see in my email this thread got reactivated, I thought I would post a follow up to my Excessive.
In September I went to X-over steering. I actually had the work done at Atlas since I needed the front springs reworked a bit as well. They rebuild my front packs moving my axel forward 2 inches. The result is verticle hangers, zero rubbing, a better ride, a better look, and a driveshaft that has proper slip travel.
I had them put on the ORU crossover, and they added the Dohahue track bar.
Nice setup, drives like a Lincoln... This did raise the front end about an inch. I was hoping it would drop it slightly, but that is where it ended up and it hasn't settled any in around 4k miles.
Ended up being around $2200, but that was with the springs being reworked as well. Labor was something like $5-600, which seemed like a deal for the amount of work and me picturing myself trying to safely support the front end in my driveway... guess I'm getting old now that I, though on very rare occasion, will actually pay somebody to work on my stuff...
It was about $500 less then the quote I got from ORU for the job.
BTW, the operator/owners son at Atlas has a H2 with 46s.
Good looking modification, malmz. I like the looks of the bumper with those lights.
I'm a big fan of lighting however it's done - if ya can't see, ya can't drive - and anything you can do to shed more light on the road ahead is a good thing. And your install goes one step better than a lot of the additional light installations I've seen...your's looks good!
