I have been visiting Diablo's website to get the latest on their programmer, and I noticed today that they have redone the site and announced that the programmer is available. The following is a clip from their site.
1) Introduction
In 2003, the driving forces behind DiabloSport and AutoLogic combined their talents to unleash a state of the art tuning system upon the world. The result is the most technologically advanced hardware, software, and technical support system available: ChipMaster Revolution.
This new system is available now and is continuously improved. It currently supports:
1987-2004 EEC-IV/EEC-V equipped Ford vehicles
1999-2004 General Motors LS-1 F-Body vehicles
1999-2004 General Motors LS-1/LS-6 Corvettes
1999-2004 General Motors 4.8L - 8.1L truck lines (including the H2 Hummer and Cadillac Escalade)
I like the SuperChips programmer but I like the way Diablo allows the user to select from multiple tunes on the fly via an onboard switch. Can anybody confirm that the product is available, hopefully from Ken, and for what price? The information is scant on Diablo's website but I'm hoping that it will be under $500 but that may be way off since it includes a Predator proigrammer, Windows interface for data-logging and updating, and a user programmable flip chip with switch. That's a lot of stuff to bundle together in one package.
Am I holding my breath for nothing?

The Chip Master Revolution has been out since last summer. Its a dealer package, not an end user package. It's more than twice the $500 figure you're hoping for an you'd have to either have a dyno or close access to one to qualify. The dealer programs a Predator (in the applications that support it) or chip with it. Basically, it by-passes the middle-man and makes for quicker turn around for code. Keep in mind that just because someone is using it doesn't mean they are (better or worse). Someone using a Revolution kit is not likely to be a better tuner than Patrick at Diablo unless they have his nearly 20 years of computer tuning experience! Unless you become a dealer, you're holding your breath.
Thanks for the reply. I guess their website wasn't being really clear on the intended audience for the Revolution software for the Predator programmer. So when will the Predator programmer be available for my EEC-IV '00 Expedition. Is their 2 program chip and predator constitute the package they refer to; the ability to switch back and forth between tunes via a switch. The Diablo site is very vague about availability and packaging.
Or should I just pull for a SuperChips package and not wait. As I said before, I respect SuperChips and thier work, but I have used Diablo's products in the past and was very happy with features, performance and support. I'm not looking to blow the doors off a Chevy; even if it was possible with a chip. But I do tow regularly at 75% of the limit of my Expedition; I try not to go past 6500 lbs due to performance limitations. And I get the tweaker bug as bad as anybody else, worse than some and not as bad as others.
Diablo has not given any datas on an F-150/Expedition Predator at this point. Don't feel bad, they're vague with dealers as well on this. The Revolution only supports the F-150/Expedition with chips, not a Predator at this time.
I wouldn't wait, some people have been waiting for over a year... get what you need now and enjoy it!
