replacing main seal
Does ayone know how long it takes to replace the rear main oil seal? I will be doing it off of jack stands.

it book AT 7HRS. I've got an estimate for $800 to replace the pan as mine is rusting too....

If you've never done it before, I'd plan for a weekend. You have to pull the tranny (or slide it back) and the flywheel to get to it. It's a fairly involved job.

hehehe... i'm a bit to old to attempt anything like this now. If I were a younger man I wouldn't have hesitated.
