1972 Explorer
I recently came into a 72 parts truck that has explorer on the glovebox door. Can anybody tell anything about the explorer packages of 72? I havent looked at the VIN yet. I made a trailer out of a 77 Custom Cab and traded it for this 72 SWB Explorer with a bed full of parts

I had a 71 parts truck that had the explorer badge, only thing I found was it had the cargo box built into the side of the bed, and it had a floor shifter same as pinto, but I think that was added, it did have an aftermarket style steering wheel with the ford script stamped into it.

I don't know about the details of the Explorer trim, but I think they had special seat covering and some trim. But the reason I wanted to reply to this post is because the swb is a pretty desireable option for the low ridin' street rod crowd. So if you part out this one, keep that in mind as the bed and frame could be desireable to some people (obviously the complete rig would be even more valuable).
