Exhaust raddle
My 2000 X V10 has this tinny raddle zinging sound coming from somewhere in the exhaust system at low RPM and a slight load. I think it's off a heat shield or guard, since it sounds like thin sheet metal, problem is it doesn't really do it unless your under a slight load and low RPMs. That presents a problem if you want to stick your head under and see where and eventually fix ?
ANY IDEAS?........or same Experience ???

After my last oil change and alignment I noticed a similar sound to what you describe sdilling as I was driving home. My noise happens between 2000-2500 rpm in neutral or drive. So, I got under the truck last night and had the wife start it up and rev it to 2000 and then on up to 2500. I had already been under there to see if the heat shields around the Y-pipe were lose and they were not. When she was going from 2000 to 2500 rpm I heard the noise and was able to identify the source being a heat shield around the catalytic converter vibrating against the pipe coming into the catalytic converter. I am going to try and bend it away from the pipe a little bit this weekend.

I also am leaning towards the shield around the cat, I may put a band clamp around it to hold it tight until the dealer can give me some thoughts. Unfortunately my 100,000 mile extended warrenty seems to exclude any exhaust work. But who cares as long as the noise is gone!
