Help w/high pitched whine

Hi Everyone,
I was unpleasantly surprised with a high pitched whine just before I got home tonight. When I have the truck (2000 F350 4x4/ V10, 3.73) in gear I get a high pitched whine. It doesn`t do it in neutral/park. Truck has about 5000 miles. Any ideas?

Help w/high pitched whine

I also have a whine (99 sc sb v10 5-sp). Mine happens when I am in gear and increase Rpm. It is much worse and more often when it is cold. It quits when I push the clutch in. It sounds like its from th edash or engine compartment. The service dep. at local dealer couldn't get it to do it.
Any fix info would help me too. Jeff
