Does anyone that you guys know of make a skid plate for A 78 F250? i want to put one on teh transfer case, teh front under the rad and want to put one on teh frotn axel (HD44). any help would be appreciated. i can make my own but that is mroe work than i kinda want to do.
i dont know of any places that have em, but i guess you could make your own. Im with you though, i would rather buy some than have to make them
Where's your sense of adventure? Only skid plates I have ever found were for the axles, to protect the pumpkin. I'm thinking you'll need to build your own. You might also try lifting the truck enough so you won't be skidding on anything.
They'd be easy to fab yourself. It's not like they need to look all fancy bling or anything, just so long as they protect it. For your axle skid plate go here: http://www.jamesduff.com/eb/axles_misc.html
Then the other two will have to be built. You shouldn't have much to worry about with the transfer case as it should already be sitting up in the frame. I can see some concern for the radiator though.
