2003 Explorer passenger side mirror

2003 Explorer passenger side mirror
Ok, so I am not familiar with the Explorers at all, but my girlfriend's parents have just bought a slightly used 03. The problem is that her teenage brother took out the passenger side mirror with a sign post. Me being a true blue Ford guy I was the one that her parents came to so they can get it replaced. Ok, so I know that you have to remove the door panel to get to the mirror studs, but my question is this, does the whole door panel just pop off or is there a special trick to get it off? I do not want to mess up their door panel along with the mirror. I did a forum search on this but did not come up with any advice on how to actually replace the mirror. Thank you for all the help.

there are two screws on the bottom of the door, unscrew them...next switch panel with teh window control and door lock very carefully pull that up and towards you and disconnect the wiring, next pull hte handle of the door as if your going to open it and remove the panelling around the handle, you could stick a flat head screw driver in there and wiggle it around, it will pop right off. next there is another scew in that area, after you unscrew it just lift the door panel up and out.
