Scotch is a liquor. Scottish is a nationality or heritage.
Wow, I'm glad you pointed that out Didn't I mention I was Scottish? On both sides? Scotch is perfectly acceptable slang. Which is why when we're on the island visiting family, being called "you big dumb scotch" isn't that unheard of an exclamation.
And yea, scotts are known for drinking more than a skosh of scotch
I haven't seen the commercial in question, but when I saw the post heading "Where's Wallace?", my first response is "forget Wallace, where the heck is Grommet?"
If you don't have a kid, this probably won't make any sense.
