Question Wind noise

Has anyone experienced wind noise coming from the bottom of the drivers side windshield? I can hear the molding rattle (near the hand grip) and the top of the dash board seams as though its vibrating. This usually happens at speed of 55 or faster. Sometimes I can hear it at lower speeds if there is a strong head wind. I cant figure it out.

Don't know what to tell ya other than take it to the dealer. My truck is very quiet when driving down the road. I hear absolutely no wind noise going 65+ mph even when the wind is blowing hard.

I have to go along with sprintcarcrazy on this one. Had to remove my bugshield due to excessive rattling with the moldings. Caused holy hel# with the added turbulence. Usually at 55 or better. If you have one on there, yank it and see what happens. I have a nice lund interceptor for sale if you want one.

Yes I do have a bug deflector (Lund) however this has been on for two months. This noise just started a couple weeks ago. It would be hard for me to believe that it would cause the dashboard and the side molding (near hand grip) to rattle.

I wonder if the turbulence from the deflector has caused something to start loosening up. May be why you have vibration now and not before.

Kam,

There is a TSB out on that. Take it to the dealer and have them fix it. I had it too but it went away after taking it in for unrelated items, they must have noticed the noise and fixed it while in the shop.

Yes, I need to make time and drop it off at the dealer, as it is very puzzeling to me? I think it may be the windshield seal. Not to be ignorant but what does TSB stand for

Believe me. I had an interceptor also. They supply Ford as well. Mine was on for 3 weeks before anything started happening. The dealer also did not think the issue was with the deflector because they were not aware of any previous issues with them. I had them take it off and "no more noise"!!! It takes 5 minutes to drop it. Try it!!! What is there to lose???
