no idle
ok so i went to start the truck today and it wouldn't idle, i was running late and i had to drive with one foot on the break and the other constantly on the gas so the rpm wouldn't drop and stall out... has this ever happened to anyone? what is it? and how much is the part?

lol, well need a lot more info here , year,engine amount of miles things like that.
might need a tune up. fuel filter, GAS?? hard to say were to begin because we dont know if you have a carbed motor or efi.

Yup it could be 101 diferent things, you need to get you a haynes manual and do alittle diagnostic work, it could be vac line, IAC valve, TPS, EGR valve, just name a few. Good luck! DW

haha my bad its a 88' ford bronco 351, yes i have a full tank of gas i just replaced the tank and rear fuel pump a month and a half ago, the air filter is clean, did the fuel filter in september, vac lines are fine, did the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, in september, i was thinking maybe idle bypass valve... how much is a idle bypass valve, tps, egr valve cost?
