1986 ford bronco
I Have A 1986 Ford Bronco,rebuilt Engine And 4 Barrel Holly. A Friend Keeps Telling Me To Go Down To A 2 Barrel. I Keep Hearing From Some People The I Will Kill My Trans And Engine And Not Help Gas Milage.(8 Mpg) But My Friend Insist That It Will Help Big Time And Not Effect Anything Else?.......

Not too sure about that.Before i put the 460 in mine i had a 400 w/2 barrel.Changed too a 4 barrel and almost doubled my hiway milage.About the same in the city unless i put my foot into it.The primaries on the four are smaller than the 2 barrel.Less gas until you summon the other two on the four barrel.I did notice the bottom end was a little less with the four barrel but the rest was huge upgrade from the two barrel.

Its not gona hurt your engine as far as causing damage but it will hurt your engine as far as resposivnes and power, it run okay, but when the engine rpms come up and it realy need to make power it will be consideralbly chokeed because of its inability to get air as the engine speed increases. hope this makes some sence. DW
